The UA COM Interop servers and their configuration utility are provided by the OPC Foundation under the REDISTRIBUTABLE license. OPC Foundation members can redistribute the software as part of their products and the customers may redistribute the software as part of their products. All users must accept the OPC Foundation ‘Redistributables’ license conditions.
Advosol redistributes the OPC Foundation UA COM Interop Components Setup with the .NET client components and Server toolkit products as an extra. It is provided AS-IS without warranty and without support! The OPC Foundation expects vendors to support redistributed OPC Foundation software. Advosol currently doesn’t provide any support. Don’t use the UA Proxy software if you expect support services.
Known Issues The UA COM Interop Components need to be installed into the default location. Don’t change the install folder!
The software is installed into the folders: - C:\Program Files\Common Files\OPC Foundation\UA\... - C:\ProgramData\OPC Foundation\Config The installation into fix location causes problems if multiple vendors provide the UA COM Interop Components. Different vendors may provide different versions and the configuration settings may be changed.
