OPC Xi Simulation Server |
The XiSIM Simulation Server is a native OPC Xi server for use as a test platform.
The server provides DA, AE and HDA functionality without needing access to DCOM based classic OPC server.
As a native OPC Xi server, XiSIM is simple to install and configure.

The DA part has a set of objects (items) that are defeind in an XML file. Some of the objectshave statis values, some change at a one second interval.
The AE part periodically generates a few events.
The HDA part has a text file database. Each CSV file holds the historical values. The data in the files can be modified or files can be added. |
XiSIM is built with the Advosol XiPLUS server toolkit.
XiPLUS has a generic server that handles the Xi client interface. The application specific server functionality is in plug-in DLLs, which are developed in C# or VB.NET with Visual Studio.
Advosol offers XiSIM as a free test platform for Xi application developers. |
